ACADEMIC HISTORY
Kathryn earned a BS in Biology in 1980 from St. Frances College. In 1981, she received a certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a MS in Education in 1992 from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh.

CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECTS

  • Efficacy of interventions in individuals with vestibular disorders
  • The use of VR in the assessment and and intervention of individuals with vestibular disorders
  • Postural control issues in individuals with vestibular disorders
  • Studies of treatment efficacy in individuals with central vestibular disorders
  • Examining how interactions of different visual and postural conditions affect sway using an optic flow stimuli
